Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, K S School of Engineering and Management, IEEE KSSEM Student Branch Organized a Technical Talk on "Recent Advances in Optical Sensors in Helathcare" under the IEEE Sensors Council Student Chapter, which is a new sub-branch of the IEEE KSSEM student branch on 18th June 2022. The technical talk was given by Dr. Uttam Pal, Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering Stream, Department of Sciences and Humanities, IIITDM Kancheepuram-Chennai. Dr. Pal talked about the various optical sensors used in healthcare, with emphasis on diagnostic technologies based on tissue and fluid sample analysis. "

The event was hosted by Ms. Maru Aswini, Chair of the IEEE KSSEM Student Branch. Dr. Girish V Attimarad, HoD and Chair of IEEE KSSEM student branch ECE and Dr. Karthik P, Branch Counsellor of IEEE Student Branch and IEEE members organized the event. The event featured Chief Guest, Dr. Ravishankar Holla, Guest Speaker, Dr. Uttam M Pal, The Principal, Dr. K. Rama Narasimha and Dr. Vijayalakshmi Akella, Vice Principal and HoD of Civil Department. The dignitaries then addressed the gathering, describing the importance of IEEE and IEEE Sensors Council, and urged the students to make full use of the facilities provided. "
